The future leaders of the Afghan National Army are trained and educated at the ANA Officers Academy at Qargha, near Kabul, where more than 1,000 officers, both men and women, graduate every year.
"We in the international community will continue to stand beside you," said Gen. John Nicholson, commander of Resolute Support, when he visited there recently.
The Academy is run in close cooperation with the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst, in the United Kingdom, with advisors from both the UK and other coalition nations.
